Accessible Play is raffling two Cardinal Club tickets for the September 3, 2012 St. Louis Cardinal versus the NY Mets baseball game.  The tickets, donated by Thomas Rich Law Firm, are seventh row behind home plate and include a parking pass and food and drinks before and during the game.  The game is currently scheduled to start at 1:15pm.  Raffle tickets are available for $10 each and can be purchased at Gettemeiers Bar and Grill, 1740 Thunderbird, at the Hazelwood School District Back-To-School fair at the Mills Mall on Saturday August 4th, or by calling (314/831-3264) or emailing (accessibleplayinc@swbell.net) Accessible Play.  The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday August 25, 2012 during Florissant’s Music Under the Stars in St. Ferdinand Park.  Winner does not have to be present to win.

Touch-A-Truck FlyerAccessible Play held it’s Second Annual Touch-A-Truck Fundraiser  on Saturday June 2nd at Florissant Valley Christian Church.  The Board of Directors would like to offer a huge thank you to St. Louis County Police Dept, Christian Hospital, St. Louis County Highway Dept., Florissant Valley Fire Protection District, Hazelwood Police Dept., Coast Guard Auxiliary, United Access, Bob Bolin, Florissant Police Dept., Missouri Dept of Transportation, City of Florissant, West County Auto Body, Les Gholson and Community News.

 

We would also like to thank Hazelwood Police Dept Benevolent Assoc, Lion's Choice in Hazelwood and PGB Foods for making donations for our BBQ and a special thank you to all of our volunteers including Florissant Councilmen Joe Eagan and Keith English for donating their time to BBQ lots of hamburgers and hotdogs!!  And without the members of Florissant Valley Christian church for allowing us to use their kitchen and parking lot our event would not have been the success it was.  THANK YOU everyone!  To see pictures from this year's event click here.

Accessible Play participated in Mungenast Hyundai’s Goodwill Grill on Saturday June 16, 2012.  Volunteers with Accessible Play will served FREE hot dogs during lunchtime (11am to 1pm).  Mungenast Hyundai donated $1 for each hotdog served.  Accessible Play received $120.

The Board of Directors would like to thank all of the City of Florissant employees who showed their support for AcCity of Florissant Employees show off their Accessible Play TShirtscessible Play by purchasing Accessible Play TShirts. Employees where granted two "casual" days so they could show off their new TShirts.  Here they are shown on the front steps of City Hall.

Dhari Pearson, Owner/ Manager of the Florissant Papa Murphy's presents Gary Behlmann a check in the amount of $156.05 from their April 26th fundraiser they held for Accessible Play. Thank you to Papa Murphy's and everyone who stopped by that day!

Accessible Play, Inc. and the Hazelwood School District are pleased to announce students from Hazelwood West and Pattonville high schools are selling t-shirts to raise funds for a speciaT-Shirt Designl playground designed to allow children of ALL abilities to play side-by-side.  The students, members of each school’s Future Educators Association, have teamed up with Accessible Play, Inc., to help build Angie’s Playground, the first universally inclusive playground in North St. Louis County.

 

The t-shirts, designed by students in Hazelwood West’s functional skills program, illustrate what their perfect playground might look like. They are $12, available in four different colors, and can be ordered by contacting Denise Inman, FEA sponsor at Hazelwood West.
